Hair and Make up

Hello Cast!

Thank you to everyone for making today a success.

I was remembering when I was doing my high school musicals and the first technical rehearsal went to mid-night!  I know we went over time, and for your patience I am truly grateful.  Thank you for cleaning up and taking care of your costumes.  You all are great people to work with.

Here is a link to the Hair and Make up Link  Press Here

Please send me a Remind message if it doesn't work.

Also,

I will ask the office to make you on Field Trip status from 11:30, as well as your make up time. (Does that make sense????   so if you are make up period one, then that will be marked field trip and then will be marked field trip, as an example)

See you Tomorrow!

Hello Cast,

We just want to thank everyone of you for your great attitude and your readiness. We have had chills during this weeks rehearsals. Love the eye contact, the intensity, the memorization and the energy.

You are an amazing cast!

We also want to wish our cast members who are away at Divisional Choir Camp a GREAT RETREAT!
Enjoy and learn tons, as we are only better when you bring more fabulous talent among us.

To the cast members that are not on this retreat. Please make this Friday a good use of time for you to memorize your part and practice in front of a mirror: study your facial expressions, your body posture and experiment with transforming your body to match the characters' voice! We are expecting that scripts will be held less in October. Use your time this Friday and weekend to memorize!

Practise With This Link

Hello again Les Mis Cast!

We found rehearsal CDs with the tracks for Les Mis, which will match the scores that you get on Monday at the movie viewing.  Please visit this google drive link to listen to the music LOTS over the summer!  Please follow along with the music to the best of your ability, be aware of who sings each line, practice any solos that you may have, and so on.  Please remember that there are MANY solos which have not yet been determined.  It is VERY important that you get this music into your ears and heads!

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B2X6ouqxLxdUS3lFZWhCWXJMaGM&usp=sharing

Thanks!

See You Monday, June 27th

Hello Les Mis Cast!

We will be meeting in the choir room at 9AM on Monday, June 27 to watch the movie / musical Les Mis!  This will be a great way for you to get to know the story line and music, if you are not already familiar with these.  Please bring a pen, as you will be working on an assignment while you watch (we usually give one over the summer, but in this case, you will have time on the morning of the viewing to complete the assignment).  Since the movie is quite lengthy, you can plan to be at the school until 12 or 12:30.

During our time together, we will also:
    -distribute your music scores
-give instructions for how to sign up for the blog, so that every time an update is made to the blog, you will receive a notification
-answer any questions you have about the musical

We really encourage you to become very familiar with the music over the summer (consider purchasing a CD from Amazon.ca, listen to the tracks on YouTube, and so on).  Since this musical is sung throughout, the more you know the music before September, the easier we will be able to rehearse, get onto the stage, and bring things together.

We look forward to seeing you on Monday and working on this musical with you!

Musical Theatre Team (Ms. Engel, Mme Beynon Patterson, Mr. Johnson, Ms. Armstrong)
